Hi all!!
Here I am..the worst blogger of the year...lol. I've been really busy the last few weeks and many things got put on the back burner. I hope the new year will find me a bit more organised.
I was accepted into the mentor program at DigiScrap Designer!! It will be a bit of work but I hope it not helps me be more organised, but also help me get down to business with my graphic designing. I have so many ideas but gosh when will I do them? I let myself get so sidetracked. In the last few years or so I have been having problems keeping focused. It doesn't help when I work so hard to get a new WordPress blog set up and it just won't set up right. I get so frustrated that I give up and put it off for days...go back to and it still won't work...put it off another week...etc.
I think my web host is the problem so I will be moving that in the new year so once it's all set up I will be putting the new blog on my web space. I'll keep you posted of course!! I was waiting to get the new blog up to offer this new freebie but since that ain't happening before Christmas, you can have it now!! I hope you like them!!
Remember when you were in Grade School and it was time for ART? We drew endless shapes and glued glitter all over them...how proud we were to take them home to show Mom! Well these are a take on that. Christmas shapes cut out of craft paper then painted sloppily along the edges in Tempera paint. Add a bit of glitter glue around the edges and TA DAAAA crafty shapes to add to any LO (and to proudly show your Mom)!! LOL
Special thanks to Tandika Star at DigiScrap Designer for the free use craft paper I used to make these!

Christmas is coming up so fast! It seems faster every year...that would be becasue I'm getting older and my daughter is about 14 yrs old now. Christmas just isn't the same as when she was so little. She still believed in Santa and sang Happy Birthday to Jesus during breakfast. I miss those times. Now Christmas is all about Ipods and a new TV, clothes and makeup. I'm kinda in the Christmas spirit today so I whipped up a nice word art for a freebie today.
This is a 300 DPI word art that is a little less than 12 " across for you to add to your Christmas pages for this year. It's a nice gold that will go with lots of Christmas kits. It's a tad bit grundged with stars. It's free so why not grab it up?

My lovely daughter is named Aurora so what a perfect start to her book!! Here is the LO I did for the crop:
This is my favourite photo of my daughter. She is smiling and in the sunshine....so pretty! This was taken in Venice, Italy again. Just off the Piazza San Marco there are little stands to buy corn to feed the pigeons, so guess what my animal loving daughter did!! Yep she fed the pigeons. It was lots of fun and I hope I'll get a chance to scrap more of the pigeon series...lol. So that's all for today. thanks for reading!

Ok I have been away for awhile...but there is a really good reason. I am FINALLY got my kits up in a shop! I am one of the lovely designers over at...
Please go over and check us out. I want to thank Bunny for the invite and getting me on board. I put a couple of kits in there. I was gone so lang becasue I had to get them ready for the shop. One is the full kit to a previous freebie here which I still have available which is the SQUARESVILLE KIT. Look to the previous posts in my blog here for the mini kit. You can find the full kit HERE.
I just finished a new kit last night an it is now up in the shop as well. It is called Moodstones. If you click on the preview below, you can go check it out in the shop.
ANNNNND...to celebrate me becoming a desinger, I got a freebie here for you too. And it is just a few pieces of my Moodstones kit above. Again, just click on the image to go get the freebie!
Now if ya go into my shop and look at my kits, you will see off to the right side a picture of my puss. Memorise it well becasue I hate my photo taken. That is one of the few...lol. I really dreaded that part of doing this...but I guess it helps you see who you get your scrap designs from huh. Now to be a real pain in the butt, here are a couple of layouts I did using my Moodstones kit. I feel like tooin my own horn so you poor readers have to put up with me...lol
This first one is using photos I took from my holiday last summer. We did a tour of Europe and one of the places we stayed was Venice, Italy. It has always been a dream of mine to go to Venice, and thanks to my hubby we went. I took lots of pictures but decided just to scrap a few of the places I saw when there. AND I did Venice in a wheelchair!! If there is anyone else out there who is wheelie gal or guy and you want to go there, GO!! They even have special wheelchair tours of the city. All the Vapourettos (which are the boat buses) are accessible for those in manual w/chairs. I did need some help from my hubby getting on an off a few times but it was great to be on a boat again. As I repeated have told you, I'm not that great of a phtoographer but one of the pics I am especially proud of is my centre photo below that I took from the Vapouretto going around the outside of the city.

This next photo is of my 3 lovely nieces. My sisters went on holiday to Hershey Park PA and got a nice hotel room with a big jacuzzi tub. Here they are in all their spendor taking the bubblebath of all bubblebaths. Gosh I'm jealous...lol. The girls from left to right are Jorja, Christina and Claire.

Thanks for taking a look everyone! I hope you have a wonderfully blessed day!
Hugs, Dorothy

hee hee hee Happy Christmas!
Now on to a freebie, I made this a while back but I thought I would share it with you all. I know I love shortcuts when making kits and layouts. So here is one from me to you...its a torn paper template. Just copy this torn paper template onto your layout, add a new layer with your favourite paper, then change the layer property on it to one of the below examples to get a nice torn paper on your layouts. This is for PERSONAL USE ONLY and cannot be used for creating stuff to sell. I'm the only one who can do that...lol. Take a look at what you can do with it:

Download no longer avaialbe...thanks so much for your comments and support!

By request, I had someone ask me to share the Daisy Blues kit with another file sharing site. Well if you go to the previous post for the kit, I added a download link for getting it on 4Shared.com. I hope this helps some of you get it who cannot use Rapidshare.

I'll have some photos of my trip this week up sometime this weekend. I got a new camera and still have to install the software for it on my old computer here but I will do that today. I'll go into more detail about the trip when the pics go up so I haven't much else to say at the mo. Have a good weekend all!
